California Parks and Recreation Society awards Kathy Huber and Painted Bins Community Service Award: On Saturday, February 10th the California Parks and Recreation Society recognized Kathy Huber their Community Service Award for her coordination of the Painted Bins Project in Corte Madera. Painted Bins is an initiative that uses children’s art to create awareness, while information retrieved through QR codes informs the public about the importance of diverting food waste from the landfill.
